Day 7 – No Bikes After All

Today was our last day!  Sadness!

We had a long bike ride scheduled in Passau.  The night before they warned us that this was the hardest bike ride we had done.  I was a little worried I wouldn’t make it.  But I decided to try.

We ate and then went out to get the bikes! 

While we were warming up, Ally caught an edge on a flower bed, and fell into the flower bed! Whoops!

They bandaged her up and she decided she didn’t want to ride. I decided maybe it was a sign that I shouldn’t ride. Haha! So we got back on!

Ally rested for a little while, and then we got off and walked around.

The cathedral was beautiful! But they were about to have mass, so we couldn’t go all the way in.

After we got back on, we went to lunch. Then we napped and I packed a little! In the afternoon we relocated to Vilshofen where we would dock overnight and disembark the next morning.

There were two more talks by the Nat Geo experts, a reception, and then it was time for Oktoberfest!

The cruise line had set up a tent outside full of pretzels and beer! Plus soda! Woohoo!

And German singing and dancing! It was a super fun atmosphere and party. A great way to end a cruise!

Then we got back onboard and had dinner with the Disney people again. We went to bed around 10 pm and set our alarms for the next morning.

That was it! Our great cruise had come to an end!

Ally was heading to France for a few days, and I was staying in Germany to wait for Stephen, my sister and her husband, and my parents. I was doing another river cruise! The exact same one back up the river! Without Nat Geo this time, straight AmaWaterways. I was excited to see the differences.

Either way, I loved our Nat Geo experience, and Ally loved her first river cruise! She’s already asking for a family Christmas Market cruise in 2024! 😊 Thank you for reading!
