What: Antarctica on Atlas Ocean Voyages

When: January 13-24, 2024

Why: Antarctica has become a super popular destination in the last few years. I knew I wanted to go, and when Mukta said she wanted to step foot on her seventh continent, I knew I had a travel companion. There are many ways to get to Antarctica, but we knew we wanted a small ship to give us the most chances to step on land. We also knew we wanted bougie. So Atlas it is! We picked up a few travel companions as time went on and had a couple of cancellation scares, but all was well on January 13, and we were ready to go!

What: A 10 Night Trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos

When: October 1-10, 2022

Why: The Galapagos was a huge bucket list item for Stephen.  After 2020, we learned not to put things off!  So we decided it was time.  I had seen Celebrity’s new ship, Flora, and I knew without a doubt, that was how I wanted to see the Galapagos.  In the lap of luxury!  We were on a 7-night Inner Loop itinerary, with two nights in Quito before, and one night after.

This trip ended up being a photographer’s dream, and I took over 5000 pictures.  5000!!!  Pair that with being way behind on trip reports, and I am seriously going to cull photos.  I’m going to attempt a trip report with less photos than normal!  A whole lot less!  Hopefully, that will work!  And then I can get caught up!
